Why did she shift her perspective to Innovative herself as a business model!

Should a country without ideas perceive its citizens without school certificates as inferior?
Today’s theme is Innovation, a very important topic. Ghanaians believe that citizens without school certificates are unsuccessful and inferior, and those with school certificates are superior?

Of course, this applies to all Ghanaians, women, men, carpenters, painters, Trotro drivers, Teachers, footballers, musicians, journalists, news broadcasters, marketers, market sellers etc.

TSASI:
Does having a good job doubles one’s happiness?

Nana Ama
Everyone has a unique mission that only they can fulfil. That doesn’t mean, however, that I should sit around and do nothing, waiting for someone to tell you what it is. It is fundamental that you discover your mission on your own.
Precious gems start out buried underground. If you don’t put forth any effort to mine them, they’ll stay buried. And if they aren’t polished once they are dug out, they will remain in the rough.
I have constantly strived to unearth the jewels in my life and polished it as a Ghanaian actress, TV presenter and a music writer.

TSASI:
You are just like an entrepreneur, whose innovative ideas have developed not with an academic certificate. Do you feel inferior or neglected by the state?

Nana Ama:
Well, in today’s Ghana, there are schools for people with disabilities and there are young healthy children in the rural areas running around and playing in the lakes because they don’t have proper school facilities to encourage them.

TSASI:
Would you say it is deliberate from the part of the Government of Ghana?

Nana Ama:
Well, recently, Ghana has been part of rural and Urban politics ensuring that all of Ghana have access and complete education yet with my personal experience I can indicate that the progress in education in Ghana has left behind millions of children and young people.
More children and adolescents are dropping out of school, because of unsuitable learning conditions.

TSASI:
So behind this failure stands the Government, which bears responsibility for ensuring that no child or young person in Ghana is without education.

Nana Ama.
Well, I will call it a lack of focus on the Government of Ghana. Since they need people who can write and speak English to manoeuvre the institutions then the government needs to develop an agenda with proper implementation.

I am an example or a symbol of the average Ghanaian that keeps being ignored every single day by the Government but I made it through my own efforts. Not everyone has that ability. That is why we need Government support.
There is a saying that everyone has some kind of gift. Being talented doesn’t mean just being a good politician, president or economist.

TSASI
Yes. I know there are many kinds of talent. I know you to be a great conversationalist, and you easily make friends, and you are able to put Ghanaians at ease, I saw that when you were acting.

Nana Ama
Indeed. I have a gift for telling jokes, selling things, and bringing joy to Ghanaians through TV screens.

TSASI
I know you are always punctual, patient, reliable, kind, or optimistic, and you love taking on new challenges, and you are strongly committed to peace, or have an ability to bring joy to others.

Nana Ama
The starting point for my success is, I began uncovering my true ability, I was absolutely not satisfied because I wanted to make my way to the top where I will be heared louder. My unceasing efforts lead to the next path here in ONUA TV, where I can make a live chant with my fellow Ghanaians abroad about what is going on in their lives.
For those of you who have not yet decided your future course, please concentrate your energies on the things you need to accomplish right now. You will discover your path as you keep searching, seeking advice and guidance from those around you.

TSASI:
Now let’s come to Ghana’s economy itself. Did you know that the average Ghanaian without a school certificate who sells at the market has no salary or payslip?

Nana Ama
We are all waiting for the Government to take the first step to resolve this. In terms of the market women, the government has excluded them as Innovation models or economic models.
The government has procured the same mindset that market women are not the foundation of the economy so their exclusion creates a stressful situation in their lives.

TSASI
So what do you think is the best alternative?

Nana Ama
Well, that would be in my next newsletter episode.

Each of us is as unique as a cherry, plum, peach or apricot blossom, like Nichiren states in the Gosho. Cherry blossoms are cherry blossoms and plum blossoms are plum blossoms. Accordingly, you must bloom in the way that only you can. Without a doubt you possess your own jewel, your own innate talent inside of you. The question is: How can you discover that talent? The only way is to exert yourself to the very limits of your ability. Your true potential will emerge when you give everything you have to your studies or sports or whatever you are engaged in.
The most important thing is that you get into the habit of challenging yourself to the limit in this way. In a sense, the results you obtain are not so important.
But the efforts put forth by those who make a habit of pushing themselves to the limit will in time bear fruit. They will distinguish themselves from others without fail. They will bring their unique talent to shine.
There are countless examples of people in our Ghanaian society today, who did not stand out during high school and even without certificate, but they strike a rich deposit of hidden potential when they enter society and gain life experience. Therefore, getting a certificate is not a failure, not having a can be a failure.
Therefore having a job is just the starting point for you to begin uncovering your true ability; it is absolutely not the final goal. There is no need to be impatient. It is important that you make your way up the mountain of life steadily, without rushing or giving up.
