Anoited Man of God;
This poignant statement, shared by the Anointed Man of God in a heartfelt dialogue with Joselyn Dumas, sets the tone for this special edition of Always With Joselyn, featured exclusively in Assumpta Lifestyle and launching Tuesday, April 15th, 2025.
In this transformative episode, Joselyn Dumas invites us into a soul-stirring dialogue that explores how gratitude—often underestimated in its power—can become a divine tool for the spiritual and social construction of the Kingdom of God, which is still waiting to be built.

Gratitude: A Divine Blueprint for an Unconstructed Kingdom: The dream of God’s Kingdom—a world marked by justice, compassion, purpose, and peace—remains unrealized not because of divine absence but human forgetfulness. We forget to be grateful. We forget to acknowledge the sacred already present among us. We forget to respond with action rooted in thankfulness.
Gratitude, as Joselyn passionately reveals, is more than an emotion—it is the first brick in building a more conscious, compassionate world. When we live with gratitude, we align with the heartbeat of heaven. We shift from focusing on lack to recognizing abundance. We begin to build—not with stone, but with spirit. Not with force, but with love.
In her powerful reflections, Joselyn reminds us that gratitude awakens the builder within. It inspires service, fosters humility, and renews purpose. It empowers us to:
- Recognize blessings even in hardship
- Serve others with joy and empathy
- Transforming brokenness into beauty
- Honor those who made our journeys possible

“Gratitude is the act of returning to what matters—love, faith, and connection.” — Joselyn Dumas.
This special feature also delves into spiritual traditions, including the Buddhist teaching of repaying debts of gratitude (ho’on), and examines how this practice enriches not only personal growth but communal harmony and national development.
From Ghana’s own Kwame Nkrumah to global spiritual leaders, the principle holds: gratitude is not just a virtue—it is the foundation of leadership, peace, and transformation.
So, today, we ask you to reflect:
- What if building the Kingdom of God began not with a grand gesture but a grateful heart?
- What if every act of thankfulness was a step toward that long-dreamt-of Kingdom?
Let us begin there.
Let us build—with gratitude as our guide.
One thankful moment. One conscious choice. One Kingdom—reborn in spirit.
Expressing Gratitude:
Gratitude is a positive emotion that has long been upheld by religious leaders, philosophers, and thinkers across cultures as an essential human virtue. Yet, a glance at the world today may leave us with the impression that gratitude is in short supply.
At the same time, modern science has begun to affirm what spiritual traditions have always known—the tangible benefits of gratitude. Studies reveal that acknowledging what we are thankful for can significantly enhance our quality of life. It can lead to greater happiness, increased energy, improved health, higher motivation, and more.
One study suggests that while gratitude is sometimes associated with feelings of indebtedness, the two are not the same. When we feel that we owe someone something, it can diminish our natural sense of appreciation. Similarly, giving with the expectation of repayment can dampen the gratitude of the recipient.
The Buddhist View of Gratitude:
Nichiren Daishonin, a prominent Buddhist reformer, repeatedly emphasized the importance of gratitude throughout his writings. In his work “On Repaying Debts of Gratitude,” he opens with these words:
“The old fox never forgets the hillock where he was born; the white turtle repaid the kindness he had received from Mao Pao. If even lowly creatures know enough to do this, then how much more should human beings!

What can we say, then, of persons who are devoting themselves to Christianity?
Surely they should not forget the debts of gratitude they owe to their parents, their teachers, and the people of their country.”
The phrase “repaying debts of gratitude” is a translation of the Japanese term ho’on. Ho means “to reward or return,” while (on) indicates a “benevolent favor” or “act of kindness.” The term is believed to be derived from the Sanskrit krita-jna, meaning “acknowledging (jna) what has been done (krita) on one’s behalf.”
The Chinese character for (on) consists of two elements: one representing “cause” and the other “mind” or “heart.” In essence, to be truly human is to recognize the cause—those who made it possible for us to become who we are—and to feel a heartfelt desire to respond with gratitude.
Nichiren emphasizes showing gratitude to our parents, who gave us life and support; to our teachers, who guided our growth; and to our country or society, which provides the structure for our daily living. Buddhism also teaches gratitude for all living beings. Without our connection to others, we could not exist. Without striving to alleviate the suffering of others, we cannot deepen our Buddhist practice or attain enlightenment.
The Benefits of Living With Gratitude:
In The New Human Revolution, SGI-President Ikeda Sensei quotes Konosuke Matsushita, founder of Panasonic, who shares: “The spirit of gratitude imparts immeasurable joy and vitality to our hearts, and as long as we have a keen sense of it, it serves as a wellspring that enables us to overcome every form of adversity and welcome true happiness into our lives. Gratitude enriches our lives to an incomparable degree.” (NHR, vol. 22, pp. 79–80)

Joselyn Dumas, TV host, actress, and humanitarian, adds to this reflection:
“Let me further share some of Mr. Matsushita’s observations on gratitude: Of course, appreciation and efforts to repay one’s gratitude must never be demanded or forced. Rather, as Mr. Matsushita suggested, it is better to encourage people to understand the importance of gratitude and inspire them to make this value permeate society—while still allowing complete freedom of choice.”
(NHR-22, p. 80)
Gratitude in Leadership and Nation-Building
In our country, Ghana, we often see political leaders and parties demanding loyalty from citizens through voting, acting as if the people owe them. But genuine leaders do not demand loyalty, nor do they insist anyone owes them. True leadership is grounded in humility and appreciation.
The first democratically elected Ghanaian President, Kwame Nkrumah, lived this principle. He continually expressed his gratitude to the Ghanaians and the whole of Africa, his people, his nation, and the continent of Africa. He was tireless in his praise and encouragement for those who supported his mission of Pan-Africanism, a self-reliant Africa.
Has any modern president from Ghana followed the same path, always speaking with deep gratitude for his people? Repaying gratitude is not only a personal virtue—it is the spiritual foundation for building a peaceful, compassionate society.

Joselyn Dumas:
Enthusiastic. Heart-Driven. Conscious. Mindful.
Article Title: The Power Of Gratitude
As an enthusiastic and heart-driven television host, actress, and humanitarian, I am deeply passionate about sharing my knowledge and life experiences in the realm of conscious living with others. Together, we strive for more balance, inner peace, and spiritual growth.
In this special edition, I had the honor of engaging in a heartfelt and thought-provoking dialogue with the Anointed Man of God, whose powerful words still echo in my spirit:
“The Kingdom of God dreamed of was still unconstructed.”
This profound statement reminds us that there is still much work to be done—in ourselves, in our communities, and in the world. And it begins with something as simple yet transformative as gratitude.
In our fast-paced lives, our minds often gravitate toward what’s missing, what’s broken, or what’s delayed. But what if we could shift that focus? What if we trained our minds to dwell on what is—on the blessings, the grace, and the beauty already present?
Research continues to show that practicing gratitude is one of the most powerful tools for improving mental health. It grounds us, uplifts us, and realigns us with what truly matters.
When we intentionally take the time to appreciate even the smallest moments, we begin to cultivate a life that overflows with peace, joy, and purpose. Gratitude helps reduce stress, ease anxiety, and elevate emotional resilience.
In this exclusive feature, you’ll uncover not just the science behind gratitude but also the spiritual significance it holds in building the kind of Kingdom—within and around us—that the Anointed Man of God spoke of.
Through my platform and my journey, I seek to embody this vision—encouraging Ghanaians and all people to rise above societal constraints, live consciously, and embrace their divine purpose. So, let’s start today.
Focus on the good. Embrace gratitude. Reconstruct the Kingdom—one grateful moment at a time.
Gratitude: A Foundation for the Kingdom of God:
In the heartfelt dialogue between Joselyn Dumas, celebrated TV host and actress, and the Anointed Man of God, a powerful truth was revealed: “The Kingdom of God dreamed of was still unconstructed.”
This striking statement is both a lament and a call to action. It speaks of a divine vision not yet fulfilled—a world where love, justice, peace, and purpose reign, but one that still awaits its builders.
Gratitude is one of the quiet yet foundational tools we can use to begin constructing that Kingdom.
When we practice gratitude, we shift our perspective from scarcity to abundance, from self-centeredness to community, and from despair to hope. Gratitude grounds us in the present, opens our hearts, and awakens our sense of responsibility toward others.
Joselyn Dumas, through her work and voice, emphasizes that gratitude is not just a feeling—it’s a way of being. It compels us to honor what we have and respond with kindness, generosity, and purpose.
In this sense, gratitude becomes a spiritual blueprint—one that lays the groundwork for the Kingdom of God to rise within us and around us. It moves us to:
- Serve others with humility and joy
- Appreciate life as a divine gift, not an entitlement
- Transform pain into purpose and challenges into growth
- Recognize the divine in the ordinary moments of each day
As Joselyn powerfully shares, “Gratitude is the act of returning to what matters—love, faith, and connection.”
If the Kingdom is to be built, it must start in our hearts. Gratitude is the first brick we lay.

Joselyn Dumas:
Warm smile, eyes aglow with reverence.
Man of God, I’m truly honored. Thank you for being here today in this sacred space of reflection.
I’ve been meditating deeply on the theme for this edition—“The Power of Gratitude.” It speaks to me on many levels—not only as a woman of faith but as someone who has witnessed the ache and the beauty of Ghana.
Before we begin, I want to ask you something that’s been burning in my heart: How do you see this theme—“The Power of Gratitude”—as a divine tool to rebuild what you once called “The Kingdom of God that remains unconstructed”? And how might we begin, together, to lay that first brick?

Anointed Man of God:
His voice, solemn and deep, carries the weight of prophetic wisdom. He nods slowly, as though he has seen this moment long before it arrived.
Joselyn… daughter of the soil, spirit of light… your words are a balm to a weary land. Your question is not just timely—it is sacred.
Yes, The Power of Gratitude is not merely a poetic phrase. It is a divine instruction. A blueprint.
You see, the Kingdom of God is not only a place—it is a posture. A posture of the heart. And it cannot be built with stones of ego nor sustained by mortar made of entitlement. It must begin with gratitude. That quiet, unseen power that connects us to the Source… and to each other.
But today, that posture is rare. Our leaders speak of “legacy” without reverence. Our youth cry out for opportunity, but the doors are closed. And we—the ones called to be builders—we have become distracted.

Joselyn Dumas:
She exhaled softly. Her voice takes on a tone of urgency, yet reverence.
And that is what I fear, Man of God. That we’ve been so caught up in surviving, in struggling, in demanding… that we’ve forgotten the sacred act of thanking. We have forgotten the old roads that led us to peace.
I think of Kwame Nkrumah often. He didn’t just want institutions—he wanted transformation. A Ghana where every soul knew their worth and contributed to the joy of others. That is a Kingdom vision. But somewhere, we stopped building.

Anointed Man of God:
Indeed. Nkrumah was a seer. A steward. And like the prophets of old, his dream was not meant for applause but for action. But let me say this clearly—the dream is not dead. It is only sleeping. And gratitude, Joselyn… is the voice that will awaken it. Gratitude teaches us to honor those who came before. To give without counting. To serve without demanding. It is gratitude that turns survival into sacred duty.

Joselyn Dumas:
Voice trembling, not from fear—but from something holy rising.
Then let this be our moment. A national reawakening. A spiritual revolution. One not driven by protest or policy but by gratitude. Real, embodied, daily gratitude. Let our youth rise, not just with ambition but with thankfulness. Let our leaders lead, not with titles, but with reverence. And let us all return to the heart of our nation… to the soul of service.

Anointed Man of God:
Slightly still stands in the room and said : “Then let us pray.
A Moment of Prayer & Call to Action
He begins, voice low, yet firm—spoken not just to Joselyn, but to a nation.
“O Lord of Mercy and Restoration,
We lift Ghana—our home, our inheritance.
Forgive us for the times we’ve taken her for granted.
Forgive us for building without blessing, leading without love.
Today, we return. Not to power, but to purpose.
Not to possess but to praise.
Reignite in us a spirit of gratitude.
Let every heart beat with reverence.
Let every leader serve with humility.
Let every citizen sow with joy.
And let the Kingdom You dreamed of,
Rise again—from the ashes of apathy,
With bricks of thanksgiving,
And mortar of mercy.
Amen.”

Joselyn Dumas:
Eyes shimmering with tears—not of sorrow, but of recognition.
Thank you… Man of God. That prayer is not just words—it is a map. Let this edition serve as our declaration… that we are choosing, as a people, to begin again.
With gratitude. With grace. With God. You know, over the years—both as an actress and a TV host—I’ve experienced so much. So many moments that could’ve made me bitter or broken. But I chose to be thankful. I chose to keep showing up, keep creating, and keep giving. And I’ve come to realize that… Gratitude is how I repay the blessings I’ve received.
That is why I’ve committed to working here, in Ghana—to pour into this land, these people. To contribute to a more harmonious society in whatever way I can.

Kwame Nkrumah :
That was Kwame Nkrumah’s dream, wasn’t it? The happiness of all Ghanaians. Not just survival… but joy.
He never lost that fundamental intent: to create jobs, to build institutions—not for show, but to open doors.
Doors that would lead ordinary Ghanaians to extraordinary destinies—as doctors, pilots, engineers, builders…
People who could then turn around and build peace. Build happiness. Build the Kingdom.

Anointed Man of God:
Yes… Yes. You understand it, Joselyn. And that gives me hope. Because Kwame Nkrumah was not just a president. He was a priest in his own right—a servant of the people.
Like a shepherd, he saw not what Ghana was but what Ghana could become. He had faith… faith in you, in me, in the young boy from Tamale with a dream…
He believed that by creating meaningful work, he was building the spiritual infrastructure of a nation. But… I am afraid. Deeply afraid.

Joselyn leans in, sensing the weight in his words.

Anointed Man of God (continued):
Because today, I no longer see that same gratitude in our leaders. Gratitude has vanished from the vocabulary of those in power. Where once there was vision, now there is vanity. Where once there was devotion, now there is division. They do not serve with humility. They do not lead with love. They forget that to govern is to repay the people’s trust with gratitude—with action, compassion, and creation.

Joselyn Dumas:
Quiet, yet strong. Without that sense of gratitude, how can they build anything lasting?

Anointed Man of God:
They can’t.
And that is what troubles me.
Ghanaians… our people… are at risk.
Not only from bad government but from the erasure of their power to contribute joyfully, harmoniously to the greater good. When leaders lack gratitude, it teaches people to forget theirs as well. And a people who forget how to be thankful… soon forget how to build.

Joselyn Dumas:
Softly. Silence. Heavy. Holy.
Then perhaps… the Kingdom of God we both dream of… remains unconstructed because we stopped laying the bricks. We stopped laying them with love… with service…
With gratitude.

Anointed Man of God:
Yes. But we can begin again.
Gratitude is the first brick.
It is silent. Humble. Often overlooked.
But it is the only foundation strong enough to carry the weight of God’s dream.

Joselyn Dumas:
Man of God, when you say, “The Kingdom of God I dreamed of is still unconstructed”… what do you mean?

Anointed Man of God (gently, with a solemn gaze):
I mean a nation where love leads, justice breathes, and gratitude governs. A Ghana where every heart is a cornerstone… yet too many hearts have gone cold.

Joselyn Dumas (softly):
So the Kingdom isn’t in the sky… It’s in the way we live, love, and serve each other here?

Anointed Man of God (nodding):
Exactly. But without gratitude, the first brick is never laid. Without gratitude, vision fades… and the Kingdom remains a dream.

Joselyn Dumas (with conviction):
Then, let’s begin again—with gratitude. Let’s help our people see that even in brokenness, we still hold the power to build.

Anointed Man of God:
Amen. And may our words today be the sound of hammers striking the first stones.
