INTRODUCTION
The Wondrous Beauty
A Melody Walking Toward the New Era
Grace steps into view, clothed not merely in fine fabric, but in the quiet power of continuity. Her attire, elegant and dignified, echoes the fashion language of her mother and the queen before her—a living thread of tradition woven through generations. In the Netherlands, beauty is not vanity; it is harmony expressed through culture, posture, and presence.

In the timeless silhouettes once worn by Queen Máxima and the King’s mother before her, we see that Dutch refinement is not accidental—it is inherited, lived, and passed forward. The tradition of radiating grace, stability, and unity is not just worn; it is embodied.
The light of a new era has begun to shine. With her presence, Amalia does not only reflect youth and elegance—she reflects the continuity of values that shape a nation grounded in harmony and forward vision.
The Netherlands, rooted in diversity of people, culture, and nature, remains a land where beauty and coexistence are not slogans, but social architecture. It stands as a quiet Utopia—a nation prepared to inspire rather than impose, to illuminate rather than dominate.
And in a world shaken by unrest—from the Middle East to every corner searching for peace—her existence as the next Queen becomes more than ceremonial. It is symbolic. It suggests that leadership can wear grace without weakness, that power can choose poise over turmoil, and that harmony may once again become the melody of nations.
From the lineage of queens emerges not just a successor, but a promise: that beauty, peace, and harmony will not fade—they will reign.
Princess Amalia Speaks on Hope
Hope envisions the glass not as half full or half empty, but as potentially full.

The land we now call the Netherlands was once water—barren and uncertain. But through vision and courage, we transformed it into something fruitful. And every end we have reached has always marked the beginning of something new. Hope, as I wish to describe it, looks to the future as something ideal, renewed, and filled with possibility.
When a child in Palestine or Ukraine believes they can become anything they dream to be—there is hope.
When activists take to the streets with visions of justice and equality—they are acting from hope.
When we believe that the future can be better than the present, hope is alive.
Even the Netherlands, often seen as a small Utopia, was born from hope. We imagined a different world—more caring and more compassionate, where people matter more than things. This nation itself is a dream shaped by hope.
Kwame Nkrumah, the first democratically elected president of Ghana, envisioned a prosperous, united Africa—equal, peaceful, and dignified. His Pan-African dream was one of hope.
But hope is more than emotion—it is a decision. And if we do not decide the path we walk, life will cast our mistakes in the harshest light. Yet from the standpoint of hope, mistakes are not final, and they are never fatal. They become steps toward growth and self-correction. It is not the error itself that defines us, but how we respond to it. In the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin, there is the principle of “changing poison into medicine.” It reminds us that:
- “When great evil occurs, great good will follow.”
- “Winter never fails to turn into spring.”
These words do not deny suffering; they transform it. As human beings, we possess the power to transform pain into possibility—as long as we do not lose hope.
Hope is not naive—it is necessary.
It is not a passive wish, but an active stance toward the future. And in the face of war, inequality, and uncertainty, it is hope that prepares the way for peace, harmony, and renewal.
This is the tradition the Netherlands has always passed on — the courage to transform, the will to renew, and the quiet power to hope forward.

Assumpta Weekly Lifestyle Magazine Presents:
“AMALIA” – An Exclusive Global Edition
Featuring: Princess Catharina-Amalia, Princess of Orange
A rare and intimate portrait of a young royal poised to define the future — not only of the Netherlands, but of modern monarchy itself.
A Royal Presence That Commands Silence
There are figures who walk into a room and are merely seen. And then there are those — like Princess Amalia — who are felt.

With long, golden-brown hair cascading naturally over her shoulders, her beauty is understated yet unforgettable.
Her softly blushed tones, refined brows, and serene expression reflect poise rather than extravagance.
Dressed in a structured cream ensemble with a distinguished high neckline, complemented by bold gold accessories and an elegantly tilted wide-brimmed hat, she radiates quiet power, dignity, and timeless grace. She does not demand attention — she earns it without a word.
The Dialogue Begins

Frema Adunyame (Host):
Your Royal Highness, before I officially begin our dialogue, allow me to share a thought with you — and with our audience around the world.
Every living thing in this world has a name — and every name carries meaning. It tells us who we are, where we come from, and what legacy we are born to carry.
The world knows you as Amalia — first daughter of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, a couple whose love once challenged norms and redefined royal expectations.
As the philosopher once said, “Astonishment is the origin of philosophy” — and surely, out of their love came you — the embodiment of their hope, their union, their dream.
Everything about you reflects that origin — you possess a quiet sincerity that moves people not by force, but by presence. A beauty not only seen, but felt.
Tell us, Princess Amalia — why do you think your presence inspires such calmness and admiration in people, even before you speak?

Princess Catharina-Amalia:
Thank you, Miss Adunyame, for such kind and thoughtful words. I must admit — it is a little overwhelming to hear myself spoken of in such poetic light.
To be honest, I do not think of myself as someone extraordinary. I wake up every morning simply trying to be grounded, to understand my place in the world — not only as a future queen, but as a human being.
If people feel calm around me, perhaps it is because I try to listen before I speak. My parents have always taught me that leadership is not about being the loudest voice in the room — it is about being the most attentive.
I was raised with a deep awareness that my life is not only my own. The crown I am preparing to wear one day is not made of privilege — it is made of responsibility. And with that responsibility comes a duty to see others, to make space for them, and to lead with dignity rather than display.
So if I carry silence, it is not out of shyness — it is out of respect. Respect for the moment, for the people in front of me, and for the role I am destined to fulfill.

Frema Adunyame (Host):
Your Royal Highness, as we sit here today, I cannot help but reflect on what so many feel when you enter a space. There are figures who walk into a room and are merely seen. And then there are those — like you — who are felt.
With your long, golden-brown hair cascading naturally, your serene poise, and the dignity of your presence, you embody something far deeper than fashion or ceremony. You do not demand attention — you earn it without a word.
This is why our Cover Story Title is:
“The Wondrous Beauty”
Subheading: A Melody Walking Toward the New Era
Because you, Princess Amalia, represent more than royalty — you represent continuity and transformation. Your fashion, echoing that of Queen Máxima and the Queen before her, feels like a living thread of Dutch tradition. And as you know, in the Netherlands beauty is not vanity — it is cultural harmony expressed through presence, restraint, and grace.
This edition of our magazine also explores key themes:
- Hope as a Tradition
- The Promise of Renewal
- From Water to World: The Courage to Hope
So let me ask you this:
When you think about these themes — hope, renewal, courage — how do they resonate with you personally as a young woman preparing to inherit not just a crown, but the weight of history and the gaze of the world?

Princess Catharina-Amalia:
Hope, to me, is not a matter of optimism or pessimism. It is not about seeing the glass half full or half empty — it is about seeing it as potentially full.
The land we now call the Netherlands is a living example of that. We were once under water — barren, uncertain, uninhabitable. But through vision and courage, we transformed it into something fruitful. Every ending we’ve reached as a nation has always been the beginning of something new.
That is how I understand hope. Not as a feeling, but as a decision. A deliberate choice to believe that the future can be different from the past — and that we have the power to shape it.
When a child in Palestine or Ukraine believes they can grow to become anything they dream to be — there is hope.
When activists take to the streets in pursuit of justice and equality — they are acting from hope.
When any of us dare to believe that tomorrow can be kinder than today — hope is alive.
Even the Netherlands, often seen as a kind of quiet Utopia, was born from hope. We imagined a nation where compassion could be stronger than conflict, where people mattered more than things. Our entire existence as a country is a dream carved out of struggle — and sustained by hope.
I admire leaders like Kwame Nkrumah, the first democratically elected president of Ghana, who envisioned a united and prosperous Africa — equal, peaceful, and full of dignity. His dream was not naive. It was necessary. And like all great visions, it began with hope.
But hope is not soft — it is resilient.
It does not deny hardship — it transforms it.
In the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin, there is a principle called “changing poison into medicine.” It reminds us:
- “When great evil occurs, great good will follow.”
- “Winter never fails to turn into spring.”
These words do not pretend that suffering is beautiful — they insist that suffering is not the end.
As human beings, we carry within us the strength to turn pain into possibility — as long as we do not lose hope.
So yes, I may one day inherit a crown. But more importantly, I hope to inherit — and carry forward — the Dutch tradition of transformation, renewal, and quiet courage.
Because in the face of war, inequality, and uncertainty — titles do not save us. Hope does.

Frema Adunyame (Host):
Your Royal Highness, thank you for such a profoundly moving reflection. What strikes me is not only your understanding of hope as a philosophy — but as a responsibility. You speak of it not as something we passively feel, but as something we actively choose. That alone reveals a maturity rarely seen in leaders twice your age.
You referenced a teaching from Nichiren Daishonin — “changing poison into medicine,” and the assurance that “when great evil occurs, great good will follow,” as well as “winter never fails to turn into spring.”
Many of our international readers may not know that these words were not written in comfort — they were written in exile, in a letter sent to his disciples who were facing severe persecution. Nichiren was not offering poetic comfort — he was arming people with spiritual resilience.
That is what I find remarkable about your answer — you quoted wisdom born from struggle, not privilege.
So let me ask you this:
Why did that particular teaching resonate with you?
And do you see parallels between Nichiren’s message to his persecuted followers — and the role of modern leadership in a world grappling with war, climate crises, inequality, and displacement?

Princess Catharina-Amalia:
Thank you, Miss Adunyame. I think what moved me most about Nichiren’s words is that they were born not from comfort, but from crisis. He was not preaching idealism from a throne — he was writing from exile to people who were afraid, persecuted, and uncertain of their own future.
That is why it resonates with me.
Leadership — whether spiritual, political, or royal — must not speak from distance. It must speak from solidarity.
I may not have experienced exile or war, but I believe responsibility requires empathy beyond personal experience. I cannot claim to understand every hardship — but I can choose to respond with compassion and courage.
Nichiren’s message of “changing poison into medicine” is, to me, not only spiritual — it is practical governance. It asks:
- Can suffering be transformed into wisdom?
- Can injustice be turned into reform?
- Can fear be reshaped into unity?
These are not just questions for monks or philosophers — they are questions for leaders. Especially in this moment in history, when so many are displaced — from Ukrainian families separated by war, to Palestinian children growing up without safety, to African migrants crossing seas in search of dignity.
They are not statistics. They are people who did not choose their storms.
So when I think of Nichiren’s disciples receiving that letter — frightened yet told “winter never fails to turn into spring” — I see every young person today who feels the world is collapsing around them.
I see hope not as blind optimism, but as the strategy of survivors.
And if I am to inherit a crown one day — then I must inherit more than ceremony. I must inherit the duty to amplify hope where silence grows dangerous.
Because royalty, in the future, must not be a symbol of distance — but of connection.

Frema Adunyame (Host):
Your Royal Highness, your words remind me that monarchy is not simply inherited — it is interpreted by each generation.
You were born into love — from a king and queen whose partnership challenged tradition with warmth rather than distance. And now, as the world prepares to watch you step into your own legacy, I want to ask you this:
How have your parents — King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima — shaped your understanding of leadership, not as privilege but as service?
And as you prepare for a world far more complex than the one they inherited — a world of climate displacement, migration, cultural tension, and rising youth anxiety —
What kind of queen do you hope to become?
Not in title — but in impact.
And finally — what would you say right now to the young people across the world who feel uncertain, unseen, or powerless?

Princess Amalia: Thank you, Frema. I have been incredibly fortunate to grow up in a household where leadership was modeled not as privilege, but as responsibility. My parents — my father with his unwavering dedication to duty, and my mother with her empathy and openness to the world — have shown me that true leadership is measured by the lives you touch and the courage to act when it is hardest.
As I step into the future, I hope to be a queen who listens more than she speaks, who seeks solutions over applause, and who uses the platform of the monarchy to unite rather than divide. I want to shine a light on the issues that matter most — from climate change and migration to education and mental health — because the challenges of today require collaboration, courage, and compassion.
To the young people across the globe who feel uncertain or unseen, I would say this: your voice matters, your choices matter, and your hope matters. Do not wait for permission to make a difference. Step forward, learn, speak up, and support one another. The world may seem complex and heavy, but it is also filled with possibility. Each of us, in our own way, can shape it toward justice, kindness, and courage.
I hope to lead not by imposing a vision, but by inspiring one — together.

Frema Adunyame (Closing Statement):
Your Royal Highness, it has been an honor — not merely to speak with a future queen, but to witness the heart of a young woman who chooses reflection over spectacle, responsibility over rhetoric, and hope over hesitation.
