The flower which never lost its strength and the wisdom of being Black, which never lost its happy pulse of life in spite of all that was taken from it by others
“I may be black, but darkness does not define me,” The CocoFlower would say. “In this darkness lies the strength and beauty that perseveres against all odds. My colour is not a burden but a reminder of the resilience that lies within each of us.”
My‘Belief’ have Made Me Stronger, More Resilient

TSASI
Those were the powerful description of the CocoFlower, the extraordinary flower. You understood that the colour black, often associated with darkness, held a deeper meaning. I saw it in you after the US open, as a symbol of strength, a reminder that beauty and resilience can thrive even in the face of adversity.
So what might the faith of the CocoFlower mean then, in this context? It means to perceive the true nature of your life.

Cocogauff:
So the somewhat surprising answer is that it is essentially about one’s belief in oneself.

TSASI:
The single word “belief” is like a sharp sword with which one confronts and overcomes fundamental darkness or ignorance. The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, pp. 119–20.

Cocogauff:
What is fundamental darkness?

TSASI:
Fundamental darkness means Ignorance.
It’s a word that clearly travels with a lot of baggage, gathered over the long centuries of religious tradition. But what can it possibly mean, in a religion like Nichiren Daishonin’s Buddhism that has no God Or gods to have faith in.
Then we can describe fundamental ignorance in many ways. In brief, it is disbelief in our Buddha nature or our potentials and the supreme dignity of all life. This root of suffering often manifests as greed, anger and foolishness, leading to things like discrimination, antagonism and even war.

Cocogauff:
You’re absolutely right. The CocoFlower’s message had the power to transcend the boundaries of ignorance. It reached people from all walks of life, breaking through the barriers of prejudice and misunderstanding.
The CocoFlower’s wisdom carried the essence of acceptance and understanding. It reminded people that true strength lies not in perpetuating ignorance, but in embracing diversity and learning from one another.
As CocoFlower’s story spread, it can touch the hearts of those who were willing to listen and opened their minds to new perspectives. It encouraged empathy and compassion, fostering a community where ignorance could be replaced with knowledge and understanding.
Through the CocoFlower’s teachings, people had began to recognize the beauty and value in embracing different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences. They understood that it is through this diversity that the world becomes richer and more vibrant.
I think the CocoFlower’s legacy served as a reminder that ignorance can be overcome through education, empathy, and the willingness to challenge preconceived notions. It became a call to action, urging individuals to seek knowledge, engage in meaningful conversations, and celebrate the strength that lies within diversity.
In this way, the CocoFlower’s message not only uplifted individuals but also contributed to the collective growth of society. It helped bridge the gaps that ignorance creates, fostering a world where understanding and acceptance became the guiding principles.
Through the CocoFlower’s story, the boundaries of ignorance were not only transcended but transformed into opportunities for growth, unity, and a brighter future for all.

TSASI:
Indeed, the CocoFlower’s message resonated with people far and wide, transcending the boundaries of Ignorance. It became a mantra for those who faced challenges and struggles in their own lives. The words of the CocoFlower reminded them that their circumstances did not define them, but rather, it was their inner strength and determination that truly mattered.
In a world where differences are often misunderstood or judged, the CocoFlower”s wisdom became a beacon of hope. It encouraged individuals to embrace their uniqueness and find solace in their own resilience. The CocoFlower”s story inspired people to look beyond external appearances and recognize the inherent strength within themselves and others.
As time went on, the CocoFlower’s influence continued to grow. Its tale was shared from one generation to another, reminding everyone of the importance of embracing diversity and celebrating the beauty that can be found in every individual.
And so, Ebonya, the flower that never lost its strength, became a symbol of empowerment and resilience. Its legacy lived on, reminding people that regardless of what may be taken from them by others, their inner light and joy of life can never be extinguished.
“I may be black, but darkness does not define me,” the CocoFlower would say. “In this darkness lies the strength and beauty that perseveres against all odds. My colour is not a burden but a reminder of the resilience that lies within each of us.”
The whispers of the CocoFlower spread far and wide, reaching the hearts of those who were willing to listen. People began to realise that the beauty of the CocoFlower was not merely in its appearance but in its ability to endure and thrive, even in the face of adversity.
Inspired by the CocoFlower’s wisdom, the people started to see beyond the surface and appreciate the diversity and strength that each individual possessed. They learned that true beauty comes from embracing one’s uniqueness and standing firm in the face of challenges.
The Coca Flower continued to bloom, spreading its message of resilience and joy to all who crossed its path. Its black petals became a symbol of strength, a reminder that one should never lose hope or allow others to define their worth.
And so, the CocoFlower, the flower that never lost its strength and the wisdom of being black, became a beacon of light in the meadow, teaching all who encountered it the power of embracing one’s true essence and finding happiness despite the trials of life.
Thank you Coco Gauff
