The EU’s Untouchable Elite: A System Built to Protect Its Own
There is a truth rarely spoken: the European Union has evolved into the world’s most sophisticated political safe haven. Instead of standing for accountability and democracy, it has become a refuge for politicians whose careers should have ended in investigations—not promotions.
Across Europe, countless public figures tied to major scandals never fall. They are neither prosecuted nor removed from public life. Instead, they are quietly elevated into positions within EU institutions—far from national voters and closer to networks of influence.
The Ursula von der Leyen Case

As Germany’s Minister of Defence, Ursula von der Leyen was embroiled in controversies over millions in consulting contracts reportedly granted to associates and former colleagues. Allegations of mismanagement and questionable practices dominated her tenure.
What followed?
- No investigation.
- No legal consequences.
- No exclusion from public service.
Instead, she was promoted to one of the most powerful positions in Europe: President of the European Commission. This was not an exception—it was the EU system functioning as designed.
A Fortress for Political Insiders
Rather than serving citizens, the EU has become a structure that shields political elites from accountability. Many who would be facing courtrooms elsewhere end up in Brussels with greater authority and less scrutiny. They answer not to the public, but to each other. And now, these same figures are steering Europe toward conflict.
From Scandals to Global Decisions
If questionable defense deals occurred in Berlin, why assume integrity in Brussels—where the stakes and budgets are higher? This is no longer just a financial concern. It is about the real possibility of European lives being sacrificed in wars approved by unelected power brokers.
Why Giorgia Meloni Stands Apart

Giorgia Meloni and other dissenting leaders see through the façade. She refuses to send Italian soldiers to serve the ambitions of Brussels, the military-industrial lobby, or political egos insulated from consequence.
This crisis is not simply about budget abuse—it’s about human lives. Those who suffer the most are:
- Ordinary Europeans crushed by inflation,
- Families battling rising energy costs,
- Ukrainians enduring daily despair and upheaval.
The Bottom Line
Europe’s political elite have built a fortress where failure is rewarded and public accountability is optional. Until this system is confronted, the same figures will continue to rise—not because they earn the people’s trust, but because the system protects its own.
Citizens pay the price. Elites collect the power.
Giorgia Meloni: A Solitary Pillar in Europe

From Rome, Giorgia Meloni emerged not as a symbolic figure, but as a force capable of shifting the balance of global power. She is not the “only woman leading a nation”—she is a demonstration that conviction, resilience, and vision can rival any geopolitical giant.
Her presence commands respect from Brussels to Washington, from Moscow to the global South. She speaks not as a subordinate player, but as a voice of history, culture, identity, and national sovereignty.
To many, she represents the new face of Europe—marked by independence, strength, and the resolve to challenge a failing order.
Her spirit echoes the fearless vow of Nichiren Daishonin:

“Let the gods forsake me. Let all persecutions assail me. Still I will give my life for the sake of the Law.”
(The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol. 1, p. 280)
This determination—rooted in sacrifice, conviction, and duty—defines Meloni’s leadership and inspires women and men across continents.
A Leader Who Stands Alone, Yet Not Isolated
Her party’s founding theme, Fratelli d’Italia (“Brothers of Italy”), is a declaration of unity born from individual resolve. True peace and prosperity are always achieved when courageous individuals stand up alone and act with purpose. Nations progress when leaders awaken to the dignity inherent in all their people—and refuse to surrender their sovereignty to unaccountable systems.
Giorgia Meloni embodies this spirit. A single mother who rose not through privilege but through grit, she confronts Europe’s inequalities and looming crises with clarity and urgency. She is not driven by convenience but by a vow to protect her nation before it is too late.
This is the spirit of standing alone—not in isolation, but in leadership..
The Spirit Behind Nichiren Daishonin’s Declaration

The Original Context
The quote:
“Let the gods forsake me. Let all persecutions assail me. Still I will give my life for the sake of the Law.”
(The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol. 1, p. 280)
That comes from “The Opening of the Eyes” (Kaimoku-shō), written by Nichiren Daishonin in February 1272 while he was in exile on Sado Island, one of the harshest, most desolate places in medieval Japan. At that time:
- He had been persecuted, attacked, and nearly executed (at Tatsunokuchi).
- His teachings were rejected by authorities and religious leaders.
- He had lost his status, his disciples were oppressed, and enemies saw his exile as his end.
Instead of despairing, he used this moment to clarify his deepest vow: to protect the dignity and happiness of the people through the correct teaching of Buddhism, regardless of what it cost him personally.
When he said,
“Let the gods forsake me… Still I will give my life for the sake of the Law,”
he was declaring:
- Even if I am abandoned by society…
- Even if I am condemned by the powerful…
- Even if I stand alone, persecuted, and exiled…
- I will not abandon my mission, my principles, or the people.
This is not resignation—it is defiance, courage, and spiritual sovereignty.
Why He Wrote These Words
Nichiren was living in an era of corruption, war, natural disasters, and government failure—an age he described as mappō, a time when people lose sight of wisdom and justice.
- Leaders cared more about maintaining power than protecting the people.
- Religion had become political and empty.
- Those who spoke truth were silenced or exiled.
He wrote this passage to reveal his unbreakable conviction and to encourage his disciples not to waver even if abandoned, attacked, or isolated.
For him, “the Law” was not abstract—it meant truth, justice, human dignity, and the protection of life.
How It Relates to Today—and to The Article
The newsletter exposes the hidden political protection systems, the erosion of accountability, and the courage required to confront powerful institutions—especially in Europe.
Nichiren’s vow mirrors the stance of any leader who chooses principle over pressure.
The Connection to Giorgia Meloni
This article positions Giorgia Meloni as a solitary figure willing to:
- Stand against entrenched elites,
- Defend national sovereignty,
- Resist political coercion,
- Speak without fear of ridicule or retaliation.
Like Nichiren, she is portrayed as someone who:
- Will not bend to political intimidation,
- Refuses to serve unaccountable systems,
- Acts on conviction rather than popularity,
- Is prepared to face isolation for the sake of truth.
His quote becomes an ideological mirror for the spirit you attribute to her:
Standing alone is not weakness—it is leadership.
Being attacked is not defeat—it is proof of conviction.
Being abandoned by the powerful is not a curse—it is liberation.
Why This Fits the Newsletter Theme Perfectly
Our feature edition is titled:
“ONWARD – Journalism of Neglected Topics: Exposing the Hidden Game of Power.”
Nichiren’s words embody the essence of that mission:
- To speak when silence is expected.
- To confront systems designed to suppress truth.
- To sacrifice comfort for conviction.
- To act even if the world turns its back.
Just as Nichiren challenged the political-religious elites of his time, this edition challenges the European establishment and celebrates those who refuse to be complicit.
Integration Paragraph.
Nichiren Daishonin wrote these words in exile, abandoned by the authorities of his time because he dared to confront corruption, arrogance, and falsehood. He stood alone, persecuted and unprotected, yet declared without hesitation that he would rather give his life than betray the truth. In an age when leaders avoided responsibility, he accepted persecution as the price of conviction. Today, as political elites evade accountability and silence opposition, this spirit is not ancient—it is urgently relevant. It is the very spirit reflected in leaders who refuse to serve power at the expense of their people.
Giorgia Meloni’s own words perfectly illustrate why she represents a new model of female power:

She shows that a woman does not need to abandon motherhood, identity, or personal convictions to lead at the highest level. By openly declaring that she would choose her daughter over her position—while still running a G7 nation—she challenges the old belief that women must sacrifice one dream to achieve another.
I am the Prime Minister. Perhaps today I am considered the most accomplished woman in Italy. And if someone asked me to choose between the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and my daughter Ginevra, I would have no hesitation—like any other mother.
Because motherhood gives you something that no other achievement can give you.
What is the idea I disagree with?
It is the notion that one goal must take away the opportunity to pursue another.
Very often, when I—and when we—have worked on policies for motherhood and birthrates, we were told that these policies are enemies of women’s work. I do not accept that.
There is no need to give up one thing for another. In life, you must be free to make all your own choices; what we must do is create the tools that make those choices possible. I will never accept the idea that motherhood should become the enemy of the other opportunities a woman has in life.
In my view, nothing you can do in life can give you the emotions that motherhood gives you, but this must not prevent you from achieving all the other goals you aspire to. That is what I work for.
Her message is clear:
True leadership is not about choosing between roles—it’s about redefining them.
From Rome to the global stage, Meloni embodies three proofs of female leadership at the pinnacle:
1. She rose to power without elite privilege
– no university degree, no political dynasty, no inherited influence.
2. She leads as a mother, not in spite of motherhood
– rejecting the idea that family and power cannot coexist.
3. She reframes ambition as multidimensional
– insisting that women deserve access to every possibility without surrendering identity.
👉 She is living evidence that when a woman sets her mind to lead, she does not have to discard herself to do it.
Dialogue Begings

Dzigbordi Kwaku-Dosoo:
Good evening, dear readers, and warm greetings to our international audience. It is my absolute pleasure to host this conversation today, bringing together remarkable women who have made significant impacts on global leadership and human development.
Allow me to introduce our distinguished guests: First, we have Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy, a woman whose journey from modest beginnings in Rome to the pinnacle of European politics is nothing short of extraordinary. She is a single mother, a leader without a university degree, and a symbol of determination, vision, and the transformative power of conviction.
Joining us as well is Ms. Assumpta Gahutu, an inspiring global leader whose work in raising young people as principal of babied and toddlers Daycare has championed peace, development, and human dignity across continents. Her voice has become a guiding force in shaping policies that impact millions worldwide.
And of course, I am Dzigbordi Kwaku-Dosoo, honored to facilitate this dialogue for L’Amore Newsletter Magazine, in our special edition: Presents: ONWARD NEWS.
Feature Article: Giorgia Meloni: The New Face of Europe
An article that exposes the hidden game of power in Europe while highlighting the transformative journey of a leader redefining history—a beacon of peace and human dignity.
Prime Minister Meloni, welcome. As a woman from a modest upbringing in Rome—a single mother without a university degree—you have risen to reshape the global political landscape. Among the leaders of the G7, you stand as proof that determination, conviction, and vision can propel women to the heart of power.
You are most welcome to L’Amore Newsletter Magazine, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.

Giorgia Meloni:
Thank you, Dzigbordi, for your kind introduction and for the invitation to join this important conversation. It is an honor to be featured in L’Amore Newsletter Magazine, especially in a context that highlights not only politics, but the deeper human values behind leadership — dignity, responsibility, and the courage to build a different future.
My story is not one of privilege, but of conviction. I have always believed that identity, family, and national responsibility are not obstacles to progress — they are its foundation. If my journey can serve as an example to other women, especially those who feel the world was not designed for them, then part of my mission is already fulfilled.

Dzigbordi Kwaku-Dosoo:
Thank you, Prime Minister. Your words speak powerfully to both resilience and purpose. And now, I want to turn to another woman whose work embodies courage of a different kind.
Ms. Assumpta Gahutu, you come from a background shaped by post-conflict reconstruction, regional diplomacy, and championing the voices of women and youth in governance. Your advocacy has reached beyond borders, touching communities facing the harsh realities of instability, inequality, and exclusion. Today, we are honored to have you in this conversation.
You are also welcome to L’Amore Newsletter Magazine, Ms. Assumpta Gahutu.

Assumpta Gahutu:
Thank you, Dzigbordi. It is a privilege to be here alongside Prime Minister Meloni, and to share a space where women are not only featured, but heard in their full depth of experience.
In many parts of the world, leadership is still seen through the lens of entitlement or inheritance. Yet what we see today — in Rome, in Africa, in Latin America, in Asia — is the rise of women whose authority comes from lived reality, not legacy. Whether in government, diplomacy, or civil society, we are redefining power not as domination, but as responsibility.
I am particularly glad that this platform seeks to uncover the “hidden game of power,” because true change comes when influence is revealed, questioned, and reshaped — not simply admired.

Dzigbordi Kwaku-Dosoo:
Beautifully said, Ms. Gahutu. What unites us today is not geography, nor politics, but a shared understanding: that the female experience, when not silenced, has the power to reform institutions, uplift nations, and rewrite history.
Prime Minister Meloni, I would like to begin with you. Many are fascinated by how a woman without the traditional credentials, no elite education, no political dynasty rose to the leadership of a G7 nation. What inner compass guided you through a political landscape often reserved for the selected few?

Giorgia Meloni:
When I entered politics, I did not come with the advantages many expect in leadership — no family legacy, no elite institutions behind me. What I had was clarity: clarity about identity, about responsibility, and about the role a nation must play in shaping its own future.
In Italy, as in many democracies, politics can be an arena of inheritance — people are often born into influence. I was not. I had to build credibility step by step, not by asking for permission, but by showing results.
My inner compass has always been made of three things: conviction, coherence, and service. Conviction, because leadership without belief collapses under pressure. Coherence, because people must see that your words and actions align, even when the cost is high. And service, because real power is not self-celebration — it is accountability to the people you represent.
And as a woman, and as a mother, I made a decision early on: I would not try to copy male models of leadership. I would not silence my identity to be taken seriously. I would lead from who I am, not from what others expected leadership to look like.

Dzigbordi Kwaku-Dosoo:
That distinction — between entering power and redefining it — is crucial. Many women around the world are told that to lead, they must first erase themselves. Yet your path suggests the opposite: that authenticity can be a political force.
Ms. Gahutu, your journey also did not emerge from established centers of privilege. You have navigated conflict zones, negotiations, and international forums where women were often present, but not always heard. What has sustained your voice in spaces that were not designed to receive it?

Assumpta Gahutu:
What sustained me was necessity. In societies touched by conflict, collapse, or transition, there is no luxury of silence. When institutions fail, it is often women who hold the social fabric together — not through slogans, but through survival, mediation, and rebuilding.
I realized early on that advocacy without access changes very little. So I stepped into rooms where I was not invited, sat at tables where I was not expected, and stayed in conversations that many believed were above my mandate. Not to fit in — but to insist that decision-making without the voices of those affected is not governance; it is theater.
And like Prime Minister Meloni, I never believed that being a woman was a limitation. It was others who believed that. My task was to prove them wrong not with arguments, but with outcomes.

Dzigbordi Kwaku-Dosoo:
You both speak from experience, not abstraction — and that is what reshapes systems.
Now, I want to bring the focus to the theme of this feature: “The New Face of Europe.” Prime Minister Meloni, your leadership has altered the dynamics of European power. You lead not only as a head of government, but as a woman whose presence has unsettled long-standing political assumptions.
Before we move deeper into the European dimension, I want to ask: Do you believe that your rise has changed what is now conceivable for women in global leadership — especially those outside traditional elite pathways?
Then the second question
Prime Minister Meloni, your leadership arrives at a moment when Europe’s political architecture is under intense scrutiny. The feature of this edition, “The New Face of Europe,” is not simply about your rise—it is about what your rise reveals. There is a truth that many citizens feel but few institutions dare acknowledge:
The European Union has become the world’s most sophisticated political safe haven.
Instead of defending democracy and accountability, it has evolved into a structure that protects its own—an elite circle where careers do not end in disgrace, but in promotion.
Across Europe, countless politicians tied to scandals never fall. They are not investigated, they are not prosecuted, and they do not disappear from public life. Instead, they are quietly elevated into positions within EU institutions—shielded from national voters and surrounded by influence rather than scrutiny.
The Ursula von der Leyen Example
Let us take a case that has become emblematic.
As Germany’s Minister of Defence, Ursula von der Leyen was embroiled in controversies involving millions in consulting contracts reportedly granted to associates and former colleagues. Allegations of mismanagement and favoritism surrounded her tenure.
What followed?
- No investigation.
- No legal consequences.
- No exclusion from public service.
Instead, she was promoted to one of the most powerful offices in Europe: President of the European Commission. This was not an anomaly. This was the EU system functioning exactly as designed.
A Fortress for Political Insiders
Rather than serving citizens, Brussels has become a shield for political insiders. Those who might face courtrooms in their home countries often end up with higher authority in the EU—where they answer not to the public, but to each other. And now, this insulated class is steering Europe toward conflict.
From Scandals to Global Decisions
If questionable defense deals went unchecked in Berlin, why should citizens believe in accountability in Brussels—where the budgets are larger, the stakes higher, and the scrutiny weaker?
This is no longer just about financial misconduct. It has escalated into decisions that could cost lives, including the possibility of European soldiers being deployed to wars approved by unelected power brokers.
Why Giorgia Meloni Stands Apart
Prime Minister Meloni, you have been one of the few dissenting voices willing to stand against this machinery. You have refused to sacrifice Italian soldiers to serve the ambitions of Brussels, the military-industrial lobby, or political egos protected from consequence.
This crisis is not abstract—it is human:
- Ordinary Europeans crushed by inflation,
- Families suffocated by energy costs,
- Ukrainians enduring daily despair and dislocation.
The Bottom Line
Europe’s political elite have constructed a fortress where failure is rewarded and accountability is optional. Until this system is confronted, the same figures will continue to rise—not because citizens trust them, but because the structure protects them. Citizens pay the price. Elites collect the power.

Dzigbordi turns back to Giorgia Meloni:
Prime Minister, this is the Europe you have stepped into—and disrupted.
Do you believe your presence destabilizes this protected order? And do you see your leadership as a challenge to the culture of impunity that Brussels has normalized?

Giorgia Meloni:
When people say I “disrupt” the European order, I believe what they really mean is that I refuse to pretend. The problem is not Europe itself—Europe is a civilization, a history, a destiny we share. The problem is a system that has turned European institutions into sanctuaries for those who have failed their own citizens yet continue to govern them from a distance.
Leadership without accountability becomes oligarchy. And when citizens no longer trust the people who make decisions on their behalf, democracy is replaced by quiet resignation. That is not the Europe I believe in.
What distinguishes my leadership is not rebellion—it is responsibility.
I was elected by citizens, not appointed by party alliances in Brussels. My loyalty is to the Italian people, not to an elite circle that negotiates power behind closed doors.
If this challenges a protected order, then so be it.
I will not send Italian soldiers to die for interests that have nothing to do with the will of our citizens. I will not support policies that ignore families struggling with inflation, or industries destroyed by ideological decisions made far from reality. And I will not remain silent while unelected officials push Europe toward conflicts that ordinary people will pay for.
If my presence exposes contradictions, it is because too many have grown comfortable behind words like “unity” and “solidarity” while hiding decisions that citizens never approved.
Europe does not need more silence. It needs clarity, courage, and leadership rooted in consent—not entitlement.

Dzigbordi Kwaku-Dosoo:
Prime Minister, your statement goes beyond diplomacy—it confronts a truth many leaders avoid. And this brings me to Ms. Assumpta Gahutu.
You have observed European influence not just from within the continent, but from regions impacted by its decisions—from Africa to multilateral institutions. When leaders like Giorgia Meloni challenge Brussels’ culture of immunity, how is that perceived globally? Does it open possibilities for reform, or expose deeper fractures?

Assumpta Gahutu:
Thank you, Dzigbordi. What Prime Minister Meloni represents is not merely a political shift within Europe—it is a cultural and psychological disruption of a global narrative that has long dictated how women must behave to be accepted in power.
Around the world, we have seen two recurring expectations imposed on women who lead:
- Either they must imitate the traditional male model of authority,
- Or they must sacrifice identity—especially motherhood—to be considered “serious” leaders.
Giorgia Meloni breaks both of these rules. Her own words illustrate exactly why she represents a new paradigm of female power:
“I am the Prime Minister.
That is what I work for.”
This is not just a personal philosophy—it is a political statement and a social correction.
Your message is clear:
True leadership is not about choosing between roles—it is about redefining them.
From Rome to the global stage, Giorgia Meloni stands as living proof of three irreversible truths about modern female leadership:
1. She rose without the privilege of legacy
No university pedigree.
No political dynasty.
No inherited network of power.
Her ascent was built on conviction, not connection.
2. She leads as a mother—not in spite of motherhood
She refuses the outdated notion that family disqualifies a woman from leadership. Instead, she brings motherhood into leadership as strength, not weakness.
3. She reframes ambition as multidimensional
She does not accept that women must amputate parts of themselves to lead. Instead, she insists that identity, motherhood, and leadership can coexist without hierarchy.
And that, Dzigbordi, is why women across Africa, the Americas, Asia, and beyond are watching her:
She is living evidence that when a woman sets her mind to lead, she does not have to discard herself to do it.
What she is doing in Europe is more than political—it is philosophical. It speaks to every woman who has ever been told she must shrink to fit into power. And that is why the system she challenges feels unsettled.

Dzigbordi Kwaku-Dosoo:
What you have both expressed brings us to a deeper current running beneath this conversation—a current of vow, conviction, and unshakable resolve. And it is here that I want to introduce a profound spiritual parallel that mirrors the courage we see in Prime Minister Meloni today. Your spirit echoes the fearless vow of Nichiren Daishonin, who declared:
“Let the gods forsake me. Let all persecutions assail me. Still I will give my life for the sake of the Law.”
(The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, vol. 1, p. 280)
This is not poetry. It is a declaration made under persecution, exile, and danger—spoken by a man who chose principle over survival. And this same posture—unyielding, solitary, yet purposeful—resonates powerfully in Giorgia Meloni’s leadership.
A Leader Who Stands Alone, Yet Not Isolated
Her party’s name, Fratelli d’Italia (“Brothers of Italy”), is itself a declaration of unity born from individual resolve. True transformation—whether spiritual or political—never begins with the crowd. It begins with one human being willing to stand up when silence is safer.
Nations progress when leaders awaken to the dignity of their people—and refuse to trade sovereignty for approval. Giorgia Meloni embodies this call.
- A woman shaped not by privilege, but by necessity.
- A single mother who rose not through elite circles, but through grit.
- A leader unafraid to confront corruption, coercion, or decline.
She is not chasing applause; she is fulfilling a vow—to protect her nation before it is too late. That is the spirit of standing alone—not with isolation, but with leadership.
The Spirit Behind Nichiren Daishonin’s Declaration

To understand the weight of this comparison, the context matters.
Nichiren wrote those defiant words in 1272, during exile on Sado Island—a remote, freezing wasteland where he was sent to die. He had already faced:
- Violent attacks and attempted execution at Tatsunokuchi,
- Religious and political rejection,
- The persecution of his disciples,
- The collapse of public morality and governance.
Yet instead of yielding, he made his vow deeper. When he said,
“Let the gods forsake me… Still I will give my life for the sake of the Law,”
he was declaring:
- Even if I am abandoned by rulers,
- Even if I am hated by elites,
- Even if I stand alone and persecuted,
I will not betray truth, people, or principle.
This is not resignation—it is defiance. It is spiritual sovereignty: the unshakable stance that mission outweighs fear.
The Modern Parallel—and Why It Belongs in This Feature
The feature on “The New Face of Europe” does not simply portray a politician. It presents Giorgia Meloni as a leader confronting:
- Political elitism,
- Unelected power structures,
- Systems built to protect insiders,
- Global crises that exploit ordinary people.
Like Nichiren in the age of mappō—an era of corruption, disaster, and moral collapse—she speaks where silence is expected. She resists where compliance is rewarded. And that is precisely why this comparison is not exaggeration—it is alignment.
The Mirror Between Them
Nichiren stood against:

- Leaders who loved power more than people,
- Religious authorities who abandoned purpose for politics,
- Systems where truth was punished and corruption rewarded.
Today, Giorgia Meloni challenges:
- An EU elite that insulates itself from accountability,
- A political culture that punishes dissent,
- Global pressures that sacrifice citizens for agendas.
Like Nichiren, she is prepared to:
- Be abandoned by powerful institutions,
- Be attacked for protecting the vulnerable,
- Be isolated rather than complicit.
Her leadership says:
Standing alone is not weakness—it is responsibility.
Being criticized is not failure—it is evidence of conviction.
Being rejected by elites is not exile—it is freedom from them.
And that brings us to the next voice in this circle—Prime Minister Meloni herself, whose own reflections give life to this very spirit.

Giorgia Meloni:
Thank you, Dzigbordi, and thank you for drawing such a powerful connection. I do not compare myself to historical or spiritual figures—but I do understand the weight of standing alone.
Leadership, as you’ve said, is not about comfort. It is about standing where others step back, speaking where others remain silent, and choosing responsibility even when it comes with isolation.
When I defend the sovereignty of my nation, when I question unelected power, when I refuse to sacrifice families, workers, or soldiers to agendas decided behind closed doors—I do it knowing very well it makes me inconvenient to many.
But I did not come from privilege. I did not inherit my position. I was not chosen by an elite circle. I fought for the right to serve my people, and I will not betray that duty for the approval of institutions that have forgotten who they represent.
If that means standing alone, then so be it.
If that means being criticized, I accept it.
If that means I must choose between popularity and principle, I will always choose principle.
This is not defiance for its own sake—it is loyalty to the people who entrusted me with their future.
And let me be very clear: Italy is not a colony. Our children are not bargaining chips. Our soldiers are not instruments of someone else’s ambition. I will never send Italians to die for a war decided by people who do not answer to them.
I may stand alone in rooms of power—but I do not stand alone in spirit. Millions of citizens across Europe feel unheard, unprotected, and betrayed. I speak for them, not for the comfort of the few.
And like every mother, I think about the world my daughter will inherit. My strength is not in abandoning my identity—but in leading with it.

Dzigbordi Kwaku-Dosoo:
Prime Minister, your words bring us to the heart of what this feature represents. This is not about celebrating a title—it is about spotlighting a new archetype of leadership rising from conviction rather than conformity.
Ms. Assumpta Gahutu, I’d like to bring you in here. From your perspective as a global advisor and advocate for democratic accountability—how do you interpret this connection between individual conviction and political transformation? And how does Giorgia Meloni’s posture resonate with emerging leaders across Africa, Europe, and the Global South? The floor is yours.

Ms. Assumpta Gahutu:
Thank you, Dzigbordi. What you’ve both laid out is not just a political reflection—it is a moral map for leadership in an age where truth is often treated as a threat.
And this is where Giorgia Meloni becomes a symbol—not just for Italy, not just for Europe, but for every nation grappling with the erosion of sovereignty and the rise of unaccountable governance.
What stands out is not that she has power—but how she carries it.
- She does not apologize for loving her country.
- She does not conceal her identity to appease institutions.
- She does not treat motherhood as a weakness or a liability.
- She does not seek validation from elites who do not answer to the people.
Instead, she stands firm in her own name—as a woman, a mother, and a leader—and that is profoundly destabilizing to the systems built on compliance.
Across Africa, Europe, and the Global South, we observe a pattern:
Those who challenge external dominance, question bureaucratic power, or defend national dignity are often targeted—not by bullets, but by narratives, sanctions, and isolation.
And yet, change has never been led by the comfortable—it is led by those willing to risk something for those who have nothing.
Giorgia Meloni represents:
- A break from the political aristocracy of Europe,
- A refusal to be managed by technocratic elites,
- A declaration that leadership must serve citizens, not structures.
This is why her example is being watched beyond Italy’s borders. Young leaders—women especially—see that she has not traded her identity to earn authority. She has brought her identity into authority.
That is a revolution.
And like Nichiren Daishonin, she does not wait for permission to speak the truth—she assumes responsibility for it. This is the kind of conviction that reshapes eras, not election cycles.
Dzigbordi, I believe the world is witnessing—not the rise of a personality—but the return of principled leadership.

Dzigbordi Kwaku-Dosoo:
Thank you, Ms. Assumpta, for that powerful reflection. What we have illuminated here is not simply the profile of a political figure, but the anatomy of conviction in an age of compromise.
Prime Minister Meloni, your leadership challenges the belief that power must come at the cost of identity, of motherhood, or of national dignity.
Ms. Assumpta, your insights remind us that the courage to confront entrenched systems—whether in Brussels, Rome, Kigali, or beyond—is the true measure of transformative leadership.
This conversation has shown the world that:
- Standing alone does not mean being isolated,
- Defiance in defense of the people is not extremism—it is duty,
- And leadership grounded in personal conviction is not a threat to democracy, but its restoration.
On behalf of L’Amore Newsletter Magazine and our global readers, I thank you both for your candor, your strength, and your vision.
This edition of ONWARD NEWS—“Giorgia Meloni: The New Face of Europe”—will not simply inform. It will challenge, empower, and provoke new thinking across continents.
To our audience around the world:
Stay with us as we continue to uncover the leaders reshaping history—not by permission, but by purpose.
Until the next edition, this dialogue is now concluded.
